Modem Reboots

Modem reboots are done when there is a perceived Network issue.

These are some hints that the network may be having issues:

  • Web pages load slowly
  • Scripter keeps giving connection errors
  • The softphone needs to be provisioned multiple times.
  • Checkpoint keeps dropping connection (you'll know this happens when Scripter says "This page can't be displayed..."
     

Note:  There is no maintenance that needs to be done to a modem.  Maintenance is done by the Internet Provider.  We want to reboot it when we see there is an issue.  If someone has to reboot their modem often, then it is a sign there is something else wrong.
