These are the same troubleshooting steps that IT follows when logging into your computer to resolve softphone issues. In most cases, Step #2 (Provision the Softphone) resolves the problem. If that doesn’t work, we typically move on to Step #3 (Restart all applications), which often clears up any remaining connection issues.
Step #4 (Replug the headset) is primarily used when you’re seeing the “Dial Call Failed” error and the previous steps haven’t resolved it. It’s rarely needed, but can help when that specific error persists despite completing Steps #1 through #3.
