Modem Reboots
Modem reboots are done when there is a perceived Network issue.
These are some hints that the network may be having issues:
- Web pages load slowly
- Scripter keeps giving connection errors
- The softphone needs to be provisioned multiple times.
- Checkpoint keeps dropping connection (you'll know this happens when Scripter says "This page can't be displayed...")
Important Note on Modem Reboots:
While routine maintenance of modems is typically managed by your Internet Service Provider, it is now recommended that you reboot your modem daily before starting your shift as a proactive measure to enhance network security and protect against potential malware threats. Regular reboots can help disrupt any ongoing unauthorized activities and ensure that your connection remains secure and stable.
Please note, if frequent issues requiring additional reboots arise, it may indicate underlying problems with your network or hardware. Continuous connectivity issues, despite daily reboots, should be reported to your IT department or Internet Service Provider for further investigation.
